Structural Metal
Low-sloping structural metal roofs are used for a variety of reasons, including their excellent strength, fire resistance, and durability. Metal roofs come in a wide variety of designs and colors, are energy efficient, are non-combustible, and have a history of being a low-maintenance, long-lasting roofing system.
Metal roof origins can be traced back to Europe where they have been applied for centuries. In the United States, some of the earliest high-value structures were covered with metal roofs.
Since the mid-1990s, the popularity of metal roofing in the United States has boomed. Between 1997 and 2000, metal roofing accounted for 64% of the United States’ low-slope commercial roofing market.
